The store where Ballistic Chix is now located has a history based in fashion for almost three decades.
As the current proprietor of Ballistic Chix, I am returning to my roots after originally starting a ladies fashion store at the same location in Wharf Street in 1985. Back then, it was called Chix Boutique and, in 1988, I purchased the freehold to
the shop.
In 1993, I sold the business and the name was changed to Hot Covers Clothing and Accessories. It ran successfully, with several different owners for 17 years. Then in 2010, I was given the opportunity to take charge once more. So on the 22nd of September, 2010, after being out of the clothing business for almost 20 years, I reopened with a new business name - the one that operates today, Ballistic Chix.
I have taken the business in a new direction - one that concentrates on offering affordable, modern fashion, accessories and footwear to all ages. From teens to mature ladies and everyone in between, I can provide sizes 6 to 16 and beyond.
I look forward to taking this business online because it will give the Ballistic Chix tourist customers the opportunity to purchase items and stay in touch until their next visit to Forster.
